New to Knox

Welcome to Knox!

We are glad that you are with us! If you haven’t done so already, you can check us out on YouTube.
Located in the heart of downtown Burlington, we have been worshipping and serving God in our community since 1845! Worship services begin at 10:30 a.m. and programs for children are offered during the service. Our worship style is traditional yet relaxed. There are prayers, Bible readings, a children’s time, and a sermon that connects the ancient teachings of the Bible with the realities of modern life. We sing traditional hymns which are led by our Organist.

A printed bulletin is available for each service which is also posted on our web site. All of the words to the readings and music are up on a screen so it’s easy to follow along.
We invite you to join us because lives do indeed change here!

Where are you located?

What time is your worship service?

Sundays at 10:30 a.m.

Where should I park?

As a 175+ year old downtown church, you shouldn’t be surprised that we have limited parking! We have a small lot, but there is ample street parking and several City lots close by.

Is the building accessible?

Yes. Our accessible entrance is located off of James Street and we have a lift connecting all levels.

What should I wear?

We’re relaxed but reverent. That means come comfortably but respectably dressed. Some wear golf-shirts, others wear ties. There’s no dress code. Our Minister, Rev. Emma, does not wear a clerical collar or robe except on special occasions.

What about my kids?

We love families! Your children – and grandchildren – are welcome at Knox. Each Sunday morning, Rev. Emma has a children’s time before the kids go for Sunday School.

What other events are going on at Knox?

During the week, our well-maintained building is used by a variety of church groups that serve the needs our church family and community beyond our doors.

Check out our Events page.

What does Presbyterian mean?

We belong to the Protestant branch of the global Church and we trace our roots back to Scotland. If you want to learn more about what it means to be a Presbyterian, check out the resources on the Presbyterian Church in Canada’s web site.

We invite you to join us to be inspired and to grow because lives do indeed change here!
